EN 867-1, Class D multivariable steam sterilisation indicator.
The Vapor Line indicator should always be positioned in the part of the pack determined to be the most difficult to sterilise.
During the sterilisation process, a black column migrates along a window to reach a pre-designated PASS point when exposed to appropriate levels of the three critical conditions of steam sterilisation.
The colour coding on the indicator instantly calls attention to the results.
If conditions have not met the migration will remain in the FAIL (red) area.
When conditions are satisfactory, the migration reaches the PASS(green) area. The final position of the moving column is stable when stored under correct conditions, making it ideal for archiving.
