Cycles in small steam sterilisers can be challenging for indicators due to wetness and the length of the cycle. The totally sealed, over-edge lamination maintains indicator integrity even in the wettest cycles and roughest handling.
After monitoring a three minute, 134°C steam cycle for a non-porous load the arrow pointing to the number 3 turns from light green to black.
After monitoring a ten minute, 134°C steam cycle for a porous load the arrow pointing to the 10 turns from light green to black.
The numbers '3' and '10' act as reference colours.
The strips are durable, of convenient design and provide a permanent and stable colour change that makes them eminently suitable for long term archiving.
The Propper Duo Flash sterilisation indicator is specifically designed for use in bench-top sterilisers or "Flash Sterilisers". These special indicators monitor both three minute and ten minute steam cycles at 134°C. They comply with EN 867-1 Class D as multivariable indicators.
