For the detection of protein residue in canulated instruments and biopsy channels

Testing for protein residue plays an important role for quality assurance in CSSD and Endoscopy. The efficacy of automated cleaning procedures can be validated and monitored on aroutine base with the TOSI product line. Manual cleaning procedures cannot be validated and are best controlled by testing the cleanliness of the instruments.

A blue spot on the swab indicates protein residue in the tested biopsy or canulated instrument channel/s.

NOTE: Contaminated instruments are a hygiene risk and need to be rejected. Instruments need to be free of any residue!

The Pyromol-E test Detects protein residue in 10 minutes and is:

 • A pre-prepared test easy to use

 • Colour change to blue indicates protein residue

 • Dye binding method for a detection limit of 1μg

 • No incubation required

 • No interference with Glutaraldehyde or Peracetic acid

Pyromol-Test is based on a dye binding method which is also used in clinical chemistry for the measurement of protein.

Blood contains large amount of protein which can be detected at a low level.

How To Use
